McLaren's opvallende chromen livery op de MP4-22 was zeven jaar lang getooid met het rood van Vodafone, maar medio 2007 tijdens een testsessie op Silverstone werd dit vervangen door zwart toen de ploeg een reeks nieuwe onderdelen beoordeelde, met Fernando Alonso aan het stuur.
Daar is deze fantastische Livery op gebaseerd.

McLaren’s striking chrome livery on the MP4-22 was adorned by the red of Vodafone for seven years but in mid-2007 at a test session at Silverstone this was replaced by black as the squad assessed an array of new parts, with Fernando Alonso at the wheel.
That's what this fantastic Livery is based on.
